Jeffery Lynn Parkhurst

Jeffrey Lynn Parkhurst, 66 years of age of Lexington, KY, passed away on December 15, 2022 after a battle with ALS.  Jeff was born on December 5, 1956 to David and Wilma “Billie” Parkhurst of Athens, Illinois.

While he spent most of his life in central Illinois, he also lived in Waldron, AR for a brief time before his eventual move to Kentucky.  Jeff was a humble Jack of All Trades, and a Master of Many.  Like his father,  Jeff was an excellent carpenter known for his meticulous attention to detail.  He could take an old junk car and turn it into a showstopper.  He spent several weeks each year helping his sister Kathy make hand-dipped chocolates and homemade cookies for gifts during the holidays. He had an awesome singing voice, a quick wit and a knack for spontaneous jokes and pranks.   Jeff will be missed by all that knew him and those whose lives he impacted including many cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Jeff leaves behind 3 brothers, Mike Parkhurst and Scott Parkhurst of Waldron, Arkansas and Greg Parkhurst of Easton, Illinois.  Jeff is also survived by 2 sisters, Pam Stuart and Linda Davis of Waldron, Arkansas.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother Terry Parkhurst and sister Kathy Parkhurst.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
