James Franklin Smith of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. James was born November 4, 1962 to Melvin Franklin smith and Betty Lucille (Harrison) Smith in Waldron, Arkansas. James was 51 years, 9 months and 10 days old. James was a member of the Ouachita Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas.
James was a person who loved being in the outdoors. Be it hunting, fishing or just hanging out with friends and family, James was content as long as laughter and good times were there. James enjoyed his family and spending time with them. He treasured the memories made with each and every one of them.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, one daughters: Christina Smith and husband Travis Tabor of Waldron. Arkansas, one son, Jastin Smith also of Waldron, Arkansas, his parents: Melvin and Betty Smith, one sister, Debra Byford and husband David of Waldron, Arkansas, one brother Rick Smith and wife Mandy of Fort Smith, Arkansas. James will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
James is preceeded in death by one daughter Terry Smith.
James' life celebration will be at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Pastor George Crump officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
James' visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
