James Kenneth Puckett, 81, of Mena, Arkansas passed from this life Saturday, July 30, 2011 in a Mena, Arkansas nursing home. Kenneth was born September 18, 1929 in Waldron, Arkansas to the late Jim and Irma (Shoemaker) Puckett. He was of the Christian faith. Kenneth was a retired truck driver of 50 years, 20 of those he drove for Wal-Mart. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Kenneth is survived by one daughter, Renee (Tuny) Hunt and husband Robert of Mena, Arkansas; wife, Millie of Jacksonville, Florida; two nephews, Jerry Montgomery and wife, Judy of Waldron, Arkansas, Larry Montgomery and wife, Kaye of Washington; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Irma (Shoemaker) Puckett, his first wife Glinda Puckett, and one sister Betty Montgomery. Kenneth?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dardanelle Townsley, officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Kenneth?s pallbearers will be Robert Hunt, Jerry Montgomery, Terrell Scroggins, Oliver Duncan, Dale Wilson, and Bob Hanby. His honorary pallbearers will be Harvey George, Woodrow Wood, Jim McKeon. Kenneth?s visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..
