James Floyd McCollum of Boles, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, November 2, 2012 in Little Rock, Arkansas. James was born September 3, 1939 to Benjamin Floyd McCollum and Mary Magdeline (Carpenter) McCollum in Boles, Arkansas. James was 73 years, 2 months and 2 days old. James served two terms in the United States Marine Corps. His first term ending September 24, 1962 and the second on October 7, 1966. James is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dennie McCollum of the home, daughter Lola and husband Arnie Miscarlli of Estacada, Oregon, son Dennis and wife Donna McCollum of Y-City, Arkansas, daughter Lori and husband Rodney Jones of Gravelly, Arkansas and son Jimmy McCollum of Waldron, Arkansas. James is also survived by his sisters, Lucille and husband Billy Joe Essman of Salem, Oregon, Mary Rice and Shirley McCollum of Mena, Arkansas and one brother Bill and wife Rachele McCollum of Hubbard, Oregon and one sister law in Kathy McCollum of Hubbard, Oregon. James also leaves behind to cherish his memory, four granddaughters: Heather Bentley and Jamie Resch of Estacada, Oregon, Nicheala and Michele McCollum of Fort Worth, Texas, six grandsons: Brandon McCollum of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jesse Jones of Springfield, Missouri, and Joshua, Kyle, Thomas and Logan Jones of Gravelly, Arkansas. As well as one great-grandson Aaron Thomas Resch and one Great Grand-daughter, Amya Mae Resch of Estacada, Oregon. Two sister in laws Karen and husband Jerry Orr of Noble, Oklahoma and Linda and husband Gary Hittle of Scotts Mille, Oregon. James will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. James is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary McCollum, sister Edith Millard, brother William McCollum, father and mother in law, Walter and Martha Wilson, brother in law Bobby Wilson, and son Lesley Varnes McCollum. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the home. Arrangements and creamation are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
