James ?Jamie? L. May passed from this life, Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Boles, Arkansas. Jamie was born February 19, 1972 in Mena, Arkansas. Jamie was 39 years, 11 months and 28 days old. Jamie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Growing up in the country it goes without saying that Jamie was a fan of the outdoors. When he could sneek in an opportunity he could be found on a creek bank or lakeside with a fishing pole. He really enjoyed when he got to go canoeing with his children. In the winter months, one could look in the tree stand or at deer camp and he was probably somewhere close by. Jamie was most proud of his family. His love for his family took precedence over all else. Jamie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Melinda of the home; one daughter Raegan Bartlett of Mayflower, Arkansas; three sons, Seth Slater and Trey Slater of the home and Tyler Trozzi of Keesepon, Oklahoma. Jamie is also survived by his parents, Bonnie and Robert May of Waldron, Arkansas and father Clyde Payne of Boles, Arkansas; a half sister Jonai Payne of Waldron, Arkansas; one brother Travis May of Waldron, Arkansas and half brotherTony Payne of Portland, Oregon. Jamie will forever be missed by maternal grandmothers Lois Hermann and Lorene May both of Waldron, Arkansas and paternal grandmother Betty Payne of Boles, Arkansas. Jamie has also touched the lives of many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jamie is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Silas Lee Hermann and maternal grandmother Zelma McBryde and paternal Grandfather Clyde ?Buddy? Payne. Jamie?s celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Dooley Cemetery near Boles, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Jamie?s pallbearers will be Brian McCullah, Danny Ray Sims, Dal White, Jamie Sims, Kirby Sanders, and Jay Barker. Jamie?s visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
