Irma Dean Brown of Fort Smith, Arkansas, (formerly of Waldron, Arkansas) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, February 8, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Irma was 69 years, 11 months and 12 days old. Irma was born February 27, 1943 to Clyde Leon Kirk and Hazel Marie (Spencer) Kirk in San Bernardino, California. Irma was a member of Fianna Hills Baptist Church. Irma was raised in Cauthron, Arkansas. She attended both Cauthon and Bates schools and finished her high school years at Waldron High School. Irma married Eugene Dedmon in March 1960. They had three children: Gene Ray, Loretta and Keith. They raised their children in Waldron. Irma worked at Waldron Furniture Factory and Tyson Foods for many years. She served in many capacities with Tyson Foods but at retirement in 2006 she had served 25 plus years. In 1985 Irma married Bob Brown of Waldron. They moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in December 2009. Together they attended Fianna Hills Baptist Church. They were married for 25 years before Bob?s passing in 2010. Irma volunteered at St. Edwards hospital as a Pink Lady where she loved being around people and helping others. Irma?s love for her children and grandchildren has always been the most important thing in her life. Irma loved her family. She was always more concerned about others than herself. Her main concern was always for her children. She would say ?As long as my kids are ok, then I?m ok.? Irma?s favorite pastime was going to yard sales to find treasures to share with her family. Irma also enjoyed crafts, painting and she loved to play golf and to travel. Irma?s dog, Maxamillion was a big part of her life. Irma will be missed by many, but her love and presence will always be present in the one?s that she loved.. Irma leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Loretta Jordan and husband Gary of Siloam Springs, two sons, Gene Ray Dedmon and wife Shawnda of Waldron, Arkansas and Keith Dedmon and wife Tracy of Mansfield, Arkansas and two step-sons Michael Brown and wife Karen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Bobby Brown and wife Teresa of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Granny Irma will forever be missed by her thirteen grandchildren: Kirk Dedmon, Ashton Dedmon, Laklynn Dedmon, Keith Allen Dedmon, Seth Allen, Taely Dedmon, Trevor Jordan and wife Rebecca, Mishayla Wortham and husband Aaron, Shane Brown and wife Stacy, Megan Brown, Samantha Cook and husband Tyler, Bailey Brown, and two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Wortham and Taylor Brown. Irma is also survived by two brothers, Wayne Kirk of Euless, Texas and Tommy Kirk and wife Joyce of Tulsa, Oklahoma and two nieces Donna (Kirk) Bryant and Sherry (Kirk) Phillips. Irma will be missed by all who knew her and the many whose lives she touched, including a number of extended family, friends and loved ones. Irma is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Bobby ?Bob? Gene Brown, one grandson Kory Dedmon and her parents, Clyde and Hazel (Spencer) Kirk. Irma?s life celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Ken Stadler officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirk Cemetery in Cauthron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Irma?s pallbearers will be Keith Allen Dedmon, Seth Allen, Kirk Dedmon, Trevor Jordan, Steve Rhyne and Aaron Wortham. Irma?s visitation will be Monday, February 11, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Irma?s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
