Helen Nadine Marsh of Waldron Arkansas passed from this life Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in a Waldron hospital. Helen was born on May 1, 1946 in Booneville, Arkansas to the late Walter Canada and Neta (Payne) Canada. She was 65 years of age.
The greatest treasure in her life was being a loving wife, mom and memaw. She loved being with her loved ones and surrounded by extended family and friends. While taking care of her own family, Helen also raised and cared for many others whose lives were touched by her love and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Helen retired from Tyson Foods in 1995 after being a dedicated employee for 15 years. In her 15 years Helen made many friends and acquaintances that have remained with her throughout.
Helen is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Ralph Marsh. She is also survived by six daughters and two sons; Lee-oma Lindquist of Mulberry, Arkansas, Sharon Rogers of Waldron, Arkansas, Robert Marsh & wife Lucinda of Waldron, Arkansas, Patricia Broussard and husband Bobby of Waldron, Arkansas, Angela Marsh of Waldron, Arkansas, Helen Halpain and Chad Sanders of Waldron, Arkansas, L.C. Marsh and wife Polly of Mulberry, Arkansas and Wanda Marsh of Mulberry, Arkansas; one brother Harold (Bo) Canada of Waldron, Arkansas and one sister Wanda Lecompte of Booneville, Arkansas. Memaw is survived by her grandchildren; Chance, Gage and Riley Broussard, Kelsey, Triton and Madyson Sanders, Nikki Smith, Kayla Beaty, Jerry and Richard Morris, Braiden Marsh, Rachel Himes, Brandy Marsh, Jeffie, Payton and Joseph Purdue, Kinnley Wagner and Janie Rhyne as well as 22 great grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by three sisters, Iclee Jones, Rose McNatt, and Judy Pool; Four brothers, John Canada, Billy Canada, Walter Canada, and Tony Canada.
Helen's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Birdsview Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Helen's pallbearers will be Robert Marsh, L.C. Marsh, Jerry Morris Jr., Richard Morris, Nathan Beaty, Josie Thompson, Brent Smith, Robert Grigbsy and Bruce Isham.
Helen's visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
