Hazel Juanita Cabe Frost of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2011, at the age of 91 Years, and 25 days. Hazel was born on August 4, 1920, in Ione, Arkansas, the oldest child and only daughter of the late Thomas Chester Cabe and Beulah Lenis Douglas Cabe. After graduating from Waldron High School in 1942, she moved to Oklahoma City to work at Douglas Aircraft during World War II. In 1945 she met and married ?Jack? Frost. They moved to Oklahoma where she enrolled in beauty college and became a licensed beautician. After working a short time in Oklahoma, Hazel and Jack moved back to Waldron, and she opened Hazel?s Beauty Shop, which she operated until her retirement in 1985. She was a born again believer in Jesus Christ and a faithful, active member of the First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. She enjoyed gardening, handwork, and traveling. She made friends everywhere she went. She entered Waldron Nursing Center in 2006. She was Nursing Home Queen in 2007 and was a contestant in the Regional Nursing Home Queen contest held in Fort Smith. Hazel is survived by her brother: Billy Joe Cabe and wife Kathy, one sister-in-law Syble Cabe, four nieces, four nephews, sixteen great nieces and nephews, twelve great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Hazel is preceded in death in addition to her parents: by her husband of 49 years, Williams Floyd ?Jack? Frost; four brothers, Weign Douglas Cabe, T.C. ?Tom? Cabe, Earoll Ray Cabe, Bobby Harrell Cabe, three sister-in-laws; Sue Olive Cabe, Iris Babb Cabe, Mildred Swafford Cabe, one great-great niece, Mya Davis and one great-great nephew, Collin Marsh. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. Hazel?s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Waldron First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Hazel?s pallbearers will be Harrell Cabe, Jeffrey Cabe, David Cabe, Jamie Shaddon, Gary Shaddon, and Jerry Davis. Hazel?s visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
