Hattie Lee Treece Gilbreath, 88, entered into rest February 1, 2012, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born December 19, 1923, in Batesville, Arkansas, to James Sherman and Hattie Treece. She was a school teacher, and, when her children were born, was able to remain home, and take care of her children. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Hattie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Milton Gilbreath, of the home; daughter, Mary Jo Gilbreath Hales, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son, Steven Gilbreath, and wife Terry of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one grandson, Steven Alan Gilbreath of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her sister-in-law, Katherine Hays Treece of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter and son ?of the heart,? Rita and John Rissinger; cousins by the dozens; nieces; and nephews. Hattie was preceded in death by two children, Ronald and Marilyn Gilbreath; by her parents, James Sherman, and Hattie Treece; brothers, James Sherman G. Treece, Jr., Garrett S. Treece, Robert G. Treece, Clyde C. Treece; and sisters, Betty Jo Treece Basden, and Vivian Treece. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:30PM, at the Thompson, Jameson, cemetery in Parks, Arkansas. Visitation will be from noon, until 2PM, at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, 1879 West 6th, in Waldron, Arkansas, day of the service. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Akansas.
