Grover Allen Kelley of Waldron Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, November 27, 2011 in a Waldron hospital. Grover was born May 29, 1932 in Elwood, Indiana to the late Arzie Kelley and Irene May (Cox) Kelley. Grover spent most of his life in the Indiana area until he decided to relocate to Arkansas around 15 years ago. He was 79 years, 5 months and 29 days old. Grover was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Because of his love for the Lord, Grover willingly volunteered countless hours of labor in helping to remodel one church in Indiana and two in Arkansas. Grover was an avid golfer for over 40 years. Of those years, the best times was when Grover would team up with his son, Daniel, and they would play. Together this duo enjoyed more than 15 years of t-time, hitting the greens, and chasing balls. Grover also enjoyed the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball. His love of the game brought him to help an untold number of children learn to love the sport during little league times. Grover retired after 40 years from GM Delco-Remy in Anderson, Indiana as a foreman building carburetors for vehicles. Grover leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife since 1951 Wilma Kelley of Waldron, Arkansas. He is also survived by two sons, Michael Kelley of Missouri and Daniel Kelley and wife Donna of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Grandpa will forever be missed by his grandchildren, Jennifer Morrison-Kelley of Houston, Texas, Vincent Kelley and wife Erica of Fort Worth, Texas, Uriah Kelley of Anderson Indiana and Matthew Dukes of Fort Wayne, Indidana. Grandpa will also leave many memories with two great grandchildren, Samantha Kelley and Brennon Pier and one great great grandchild Elizabeth Ake. Grover is also survived by three brothers, Jack Kelley of Dandridge, Tennessee, Terry Kelley of Elwood, Indiana and Al Bannon of Anderson, Indiana. Grover is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by one daughter, Deborah Kelley, one sister, Barbara Hodson, and one brother, Armond Kelley. Grover?s pallbearer?s will be Dan Kelley, Vincent Kelley, Jack Kelley, Brennon Pier, Harrell Cabe, and Bob Driver. Grover?s celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Southside Baptist Church with Brother Larry Free officiating. A graveside service will follow in the Elwood Cemetery in Elwood, Indiana. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Grover?s visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
