Glenmore Smith of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Waldron, Arkansas. Glen was born April 11, 1931 to Wilson Valentine Smith and Violet Mettie (Forrest) Smith in Waldron, Arkansas. He was 81 years, 1 month and 25 days old. Glen was very involved in the men?s prayer breakfast each month in Waldron. In his spare time Glen could be found on a creek bank fishing or someplace quiet with a good book. Glen leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 44 years, Karen of the home; four daughters, Glenda Yates and Philip of Springdale, Arkansas, Brenda Short and Shirley of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Kelley Marcotte of Van Buren, Arkansas, Candra Upton and Eric of Shreveport, Louisiana. Glen will be forever missed by four grandchildren, Sandy & Jamie Swanner of Tyndall AFB, Charles Lackey III of Van Buren, Arkansas, Thomas Lackey of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Ashley Lackey of Huntsville, Arkansas. Glen is also survived by five great grandchildren: Joshua & Josiah Swanner of Tyndall AFB, Tanner & Jessa Owens of Huntsville, Arkansas and Eli Mereles of Huntsville, Arkansas. Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Smith and Violet (Forerst) Smith. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Gary Blythe moderating. Arrangements and cremation is being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
