Georgia Bass Wisdom of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Waldron, Arkansas. Georgia was born August 5, 1937 to Roy Bass Sr. and Amanda Ola Harroff in Mena, Arkansas. Georgia was 76 years, 11 months and 29 days old. Georgia was an active member of The Gospel Lighthouse Church in Waldron, Arkansas.
Georgia was a former police dispatcher in Texas and absolutely loved working with the force. She was a manager at Village Cleaners for 15 years. Georgia loved her family and enjoyed being with them.
Georgia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Charles Ray Wisdom of the home, son, Franklin Dale Smith and wife Donna of Longview Texas, and daughters, Sherry Murry and husband Floyd of Longview, Texas, Linda Jo Bivens of Springdale, Arkansas and step children, Gail Wisdom and son Mike Wisdom. Georgia will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Neal Meeker, Dan Meeker, Jesse Smith and great grandchildren: Ezra and Kordie Mae as well as many nieces and nephews.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ola Bass and silblings.
Georgia's graveside life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 (her birthday) at the Rock Springs Cemetery in Posey Hollow, Arkansas with Rev. Leroy Bass officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Georgia's pallbearers will be Dan Meeker, Stephen Bass, Isaac Bass, Larry Wade, Daniel Wade, Allen Bass and Stevie Bass.
Georgia's visitation will be Monday, August 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
