Gary Lynn Garner, 63 went home to be with the Lord at 8:35pm, November 8 surrounded by his loving wife of 45 years, and his children. Gary was born June 21, 1948 in Berkeley, California, to the late Helen Garner. He moved to Danville Arkansas when he was a teenager and met the love of his life, ?his lady?, Sandra Doster. They were married December 18, 1966. He then became the proud father of his 6 children, and father of many spiritual children. Thirty nine years ago, the call to the ministry that burned deep began. He pastored Ascension Life Christian fellowship and traveled the world preaching his passion, the gospel...the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and what that means to us. Those left to cherish the memory of Gary are his wife, Sandra, and seven children; Tracie Adams of Waldron, Arkansas, Lynn Garner of Danville, Arkansas, Wynema and husband Jeremy Clark of San Antonio, Texas, Monique Cook of Waldron, Arkansas, Aaron and wife Traci Garner of San Antonio, Texas, Andra and husband Rusty Alexander of Russellville, Arkansas and Joshua Garner of Russellville, Arkansas. He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren; Ben and Hannah Clark, Scotty and Lily Garner, Madison and Blaze Alexander, Lauren Cook, Ryan Nathaniel, and Reagan Adams and two sisters Glynel Pool and Sharee Gorman. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Glen Garner. Gary?s life celebration service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Ascension Life Christian Fellowship in Danville, Arkansas with Pastor Ron Clark officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
