Eva Phillips

Eva Jo (Nichols) Phillips, 79, of Parks, Arkansas passed from this life Monday, February 15, 2010 in a Waldron nursing home. Eva was born January 3, 1931 in Keener, Arkansas to the late Roy and Virgie A. (Stafford) Nichols. She loved her cattle on her ranch in Parks, Arkansas. Eva attended Oklahoma Baptist University, she was a retired federal civil service employee with the Defense Department, Health and Human Service, Education and Energy Departments. Eva is survived by her fiancé, Lewis ?Mac? McNeace of Richlands, VA.; one brother, Roy Ralph Nichols and wife Sharon of Waldron, AR.; one sister-in-law, Delores Phillips of Washington State; two brothers-in-law, John A. Hegar of Forney, Texas, Charles Odean Phillips of California; two nieces, Eva K. Steele of Texas, Brenda Truss of California; five nephews, Stuart Nichols of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Mike Phillips of Washington State, Mike Hegar of Texas, Brian Phillips of California, Brandon Phillips of California; several great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins. Eva?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Stone, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hawkins Cemetery in Parks, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be David Yandell, Jim Lee, Doug White, Joe Stearman, Stanley Cottrell, and Matt McCafferty. Honorary pallbearer will be Herman Atchley. Eva?s visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Eva?s family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the funeral home.
