Eva Denney

Eva Mae Denney passed from this life, Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born April 21, 1940 to the late Roy Lee Slater and Alice ?Brown? Slater in Waldron, Arkansas. Eva was 71 years, 10 months and 2 days old. Eva was a warm and loving person and it was quite apparent by the number of friends she had. She loved all of her family . In Eva?s eyes the absolute most wonderful thing was being a Grandma. The time she spent with her grandchildren were her favorite memories After retirement she enjoyed television, playing Bingo and card games of all kind. Eva leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Becky McCurry of Waldron, Arkansas, Tammy Simpson and husband John of Booneville, Arkansas and Julia Stanley of Des Moine, Iowa and three sons James Denney and wife Cristy of Waldron, Arkansas, Terry Denney and wife Gloria of Des Moine, Iowa, and Rick Denney of Waldron, Arkansas. Grandma will be forever missed by her grandchildren, JP Floyd of Booneville, Arkansas, Justin Floyd of Waldron, Arkansas, McKenzie Denney of Mena, Arkansas, Brian Denney, Steven Denney, Matt Denney, Brydee Denney all of Des Moine, Iowa, Ethan Denney, Gracie Denney and Taeleigh Denney all of Waldron, Arkansas. Eva also left her sweet touch on the lives of 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Wilma Smith of Waldron, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones. Eva is preceded in death by her husband JR Denney as well as her sisters Jewelene Lovett, Betty Bowman, Verna Balentine and her brothers, LeeRoe Slater, Lee Joe Slater and Donald Slater. Eva?s celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Heritge Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Don Isham officiating. Interment will follow in the Lamb Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Eva?s pallbearers will be her grandsons. Eva?s visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Eva?s family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
