Edward Alvin Williams of Blue Ball, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born October 5, 1922 to William and Vena Williams in Waldron, Arkansas. Edward was 90 years, 2 months and 20 days old. Edward, who was known to most as ?Ed? served in the Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Ed was a man who loved the outdoors. He loved farming, riding his tractor, and checking his cows. He also loved to travel. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Williams of the home, two sons, Johnny Williams and wife Loretta of Waldron, AR, Bob Williams and wife Terresa of Greenwood, AR, and a daughter Linda Smith and husband Jerry of Lovington, New Mexico. Ed is also survived by one brother, Delbert Williams of Texas and one sister, Ellen Mae Essman of Texas. Ed will also be missed by sixteen grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, William and Vena Williams, a son Kennith Williams, one daughter Francis Walston, one sister Robie Fay Williams, two brothers W.M. Williams, and Delmo Williams. Ed?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Union Hill, AR with Rev. J.A. Hunnicut officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Ed?s pallbearers will be Brothers from the Masonic Lodge. Ed?s visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
