Doug Moore

Douglas Moore of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Doug was born February 1, 1952 to James Willie Moore and Muriel (McLain) Moore in Parks, Arkansas. Doug was 61 years, 1 month and 27 days old. Doug was a retired Scott County Road Dept. mechanic. He enjoyed restoring old cars. What he enjoyed as much as old cars was to aggravate his nieces and nephews. If he wasn?t picking at them, they knew something was wrong. Doug loved kids and just being around them. He would even go out and sit at Wal-Mart and if a kid would come up and talk to him, he would give them a dollar bill. It made him happy to see their little faces light up. Doug leaves behind to cherish his memory, one sister, Sue Bonds of Elm Park, Arkansas, two brothers, Herman Moore of Waldron, Arkansas and Paul Moore and wife Dena of Vivian, Louisiana. Doug will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, James and Muriel Moore and one brother Jimmy Moore. Doug?s life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
