Dorothy Deane (Copeland) Putman

Dorothy Copeland Putman of Waldron passed away on February 6, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 8,1932 in Gravelly, Arkansas to Rev. Willie and Syble Kitchens Copeland. Dorothy was 85 years, 6 months and 29 days old.

Dorothy was a graduate of Fourche Valley High School, a homemaker early in her marriage and later retired as the credit manager for Goodyear Tire Co in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Vicky Welch Putman of Van Buren, Arkansas and daughter Cheri Putman Scott of Jamaica; grandchildren Brad Putman and Deb of Grand Lake, Oklahoma and Angela Scott Moore and Ryan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Damion Putman, Canton and Oxley Moore all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister Peggy Buckles and brother and sister-in law Fred and Ann Copeland of Waldron, Arkansas and sister-in-law Jewelene Putman Benefield of Dardanelle, Arkansas; along with several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Ellie Mae.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Putman, their infant daughter Marsha; brothers Dalbert and Ted Copeland and her parents.

Dorothy's celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the Parks Cemetery in Nola, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Brad and Damion Putman, Ryan Moore, Eric Brunner and Lanny Brothers.

Dorothy's visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
