Dorothy Jean Owens of Blueball, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Blueball, Arkansas. Dorothy was born September 9, 1937 to Ben L. Hunt and Vera Isabelle (Wilkins) Hunt in Blueball, Arkansas. Dorothy was 75 years, 1month and 20 days old. In 1954 Dorothy married the love of her life J.T. Owens. Together they lived and raised their family. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. But most of all, she loved her family and doing things for each of them. Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Sherry Lampkin and husband Daryl of Russellville, Arkansas, and one son Terry Owens and wife Karri of Waldron, Arkansas. ?Old Granny? will also be forever remembered by grandsons Will Owens of Waldron, Arkansas and Jason Lampkin and wife Lauren of Russellville, Arkansas as well as three great grandchildren, Paris Bond, Madison Lampkin and Britley Lampkin. Dorothy is also survived by two brothers, Norman Hunt and wife Shirley and Loyd ?Topsy? Hunt and wife Linda all of Waldron, Arkansas. Dorothy will be missed by all that knew her and the many who?s lives were impacted by her including extended family members, friends and loved ones. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband J.T. Owens and her parents, Ben and Isabelle Hunt. Dorothy?s life celebration will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Mt. Moriah Church in Haletown, Arkansas with Rev. David Hines officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery near Blueball, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Dorothy?s pallbearers will be Lewis Horn, Shane Millard, Stacy Fowler, Doyle Dickens, Tim Defoor and Virgil Wilkins. Dorothy?s visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
