Dorothy Margaret Duncan of Cauthron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born December 20, 1934 in Bates, Arkansas to Elihu L. Sanders and Becky Mary Jane (Jones) Sanders. Dorothy was 81 years, 5 months and 27 days old. She was a member of the Bates Baptist Church in Bates, Arkansas.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Sammie Ray Duncan in May of 1952. Together they lived 64 wonderful years. They were blessed with two wonderful children and then the treasure of grandchildren. Dorothy loved her family. She was a loving and caring mother and sister. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory, he devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Sammie Ray Duncan of the home, one daughter, Donna McCray of Cauthron, Arkansas and one son, Danny Duncan of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Dorothy will be missed by four siblings: Angie Williams of Bay City, Texas, Cecile Tull of Waldron, Arkansas, Wade Sanders of Heavener, Oklahoma and Robert Sanders of Waldron, Arkansas. Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Stacy Tuck of Greenwood, Arkansas, Travis Slater of Greenwood, Arkansas, Jessica Duncan of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Sean Duncan of Hot Springs, Arkansas as well as 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elihu and Becky Sanders, and siblings, Elzie Sanders, Sally Sherrills, Sidney Sanders and Roger Sanders.

Dorothy's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Bates Baptist Church in Bates, Arkansas with Rev. Joe Haden Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirk Cemetery in Cauthron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Dorothy's pallbearers will be Travis Slater, Mike Duncan, David Tuck, Dennis Duncan and Terry Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be Don and Shirley Williams.

Dorothy's visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Dorothy's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
