Donna Jean Currier of Fort Smith, Arkansas went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Donna was born July 31, 1949 in Waldron, Arkansas to Harrison Currier and Evelyn (Graham) Currier. Donna was 63 years, 9 months and 29 days old. Donna was a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church. Donna worked at Whirlpool for 33 years and one month. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at St. Edwards Hospital for 5 years. Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory her relatives: Bobby Newman, Rita and Thomas McCann, Diane Burk, Jim Currier, Sharon Rice, Jessie Stringer, Nancy Stringer, Marie Starr. Donna will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including a host of cousins, wonderful friends and loved ones. Donna joins in Heaven her beloved sister, Greta A. Newman and her parents, Harrison and Evelyn Currier. Donna?s life celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Michael Franklin, Sr. Pastor of Rye Hill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hon Cemetery in Hon, Arkansas. Donna?s pallbearers will be family members: Robert Newman, Jarrod Stringer, Keith Stringer, Mike Stringer, Charles McCann, Rodney Hitchcock and friend Benito Hernandez. Donna?s friends wish to thank Dr. Daniel Mackey for his wonderful care and concern for Donna.
