Donald Hubert Lawson of Booth, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Donald was born March 22, 1928 to Martin Lawson and Beulah Lawson in Hinesville, Arkansas. Donald was 84 years, 5 months and 9 days old. Donald attended Calvary Baptist Church. On January 23, 1951 he married the love of his life, Thelma (Lang) Lawson. They spent the next 61 years together, raising a family, loving grandchildren, adoring great grandchildren and taking care of each other. Donald?s passion was his love of horses. He simply enjoyed being around them, riding and taking care of them. Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Thelma of the home, and one son, Hubert J. Lawson of Booth, Arkansas. Grandpa will be missed by his grandchildren: Jessica, Seth, Phillip, Garyon and Joshua and by his great grandchildren: Alex, Caleb, Brenden, Courtney, Natalie, Brooklyn, Brody, Colton and Jace. Donald is also survived by many family, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Beulah Lawson and two sons, Billy Don Lawson and Randell Lawson. Donald?s graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Booth, Arkansas with Rev. Donnie Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Donald?s pallbearers will be Johnny Harp, Wayne Elmore, Steve Shipman, Dustin Clopton, Kenny Williams and Derek Elmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Carrol Basham and Warren Lang. Donald?s visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
