Darla D. White of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Darla was born March 4, 1967 in Waldron, Arkansas to Larry Don Pollard and Jetty Lou (Hunt) Pollard. Darla was 46 years, 8 months and 1 day old. Darla was a member of Egypt Freewill Baptist in Blueball, Arkansas but she attended Haw Creek Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Darla was strong in her faith and belief.
In June of 1985, Darla married the love of her life, Michael White. Together they had one daughter and she was the light of their lives. Madison made her parents beam with pride. Darla enjoyed a diverse group of hobbies, everything from watching a good drag race, reading or even going on an exciting shopping trip. Darla was also known for her care and compassion. She loved her job working in the school and she enjoyed being around the children. She was passionate about helping each child to achieve their full potential. Ms. Darla, as she was commonly known by students, has touched numerous lives, young and old, and helped to point many in a positive direction. As giving as Darla was, her family was most precious to her. Memories made with family and friends were treasured moments held close to her heart.
Darla leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Mike of the home and one daughter, Madison of the home. Darla will forever remain in the hearts of her mother, Jetty Pollard of Waldron, Arkansas, one sister, Teresa Haney and husband Rodney of Clinton, Arkansas, her mother in law, Sally White of Parks, Arkansas and one nephew, Jordon Pinnington of Conway, Arkansas. Darla will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including former students, current students, many friends and loved ones.
Darla is preceded in death by her father Don Pollard and father in law, Junior White.
Darla's life celebration will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Waldron School Multi Purpose Facility in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. John Elmore and Rev. Jackie Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunt Cemetery in Egypt, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Darla's pallbearers will be Jimmy George, Lewis Wayne James, Bud Sims, Bubba Sparks, Bobby Chrisman and Todd Scantling.
Darla's visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Darla's family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
