Gene Culpepper of Hontubby, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, March 18, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Gene was born July 23, 1954 to Lloyd and Mildred (Dehart) Culpepper in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Gene was 58 years, 7 months and 23 days old.

Gene attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Heavener for over 10 years. Gene graduated from Heavener High School. He married his love, Teresa, in August of 1997. Gene was always a hard worker and busy doing something productive. Recently he built a shop to work on his motorcycles. His cycle buddies would all gather over there and they would have a big time visiting and tinkering on bikes. Gene had a chopper and motorcycle that he enjoyed very much. Together he and Teresa had been to Sturgis several times. They loved to jump on the bike and just ride. Gene also loved to camp and go to the lake. However, the quality time he spent with his family and loved ones were his most treasured memories. He loved each and everyone of them.

Gene leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Teresa of the home; four sons, Mathew Culpepper, John Culpepper and Tosha of Hontubby; Patrick Culpepper and wife, Kristin of Monroe, and Chad Houston of Waldron, Arkansas; one daughter, Jodi Oliver and husband Jamie of Hodgens, Oklahoma; his mother Mildred Culpepper; two brothers, John Culpepper and wife, Donna of Hontubby, Oklahoma, Dave Culpepper and wife, Judy of Hontubby, Oklahoma; and one sister, Diane Cox and Husband Johnny of Loving, Oklahoma. He was a loving ?Papa? to Mathew, Brylee, and William Culpepper, Kaleb, Mollie, Maggie and Kambrie Oliver, Kallie Houston and Katie Houston. Gene is also survived by sister-in-law, Darla Dozier and husband Miles of Waldron, Arkansas; and brother-in-law, Butch Johnston and wife Sherry of Waldron, Arkansas. Gene will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and loved ones.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd ?Cully? Culpepper.

Gene?s life celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Larry Free, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
