Carolyn Helton

Carolyn Kay Helton of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas. Carolyn was born October 9, 1945 to Mack D. Denton and Goldie (McCracken) Denton in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Carolyn was 67 years, 3 months and 27 days old. Carolyn started her young adult life by marrying the man she loved, Billy Helton, on May 22, 1964 at 6:00 p.m. and then she went onto graduate from high school later that same night at 8:00 p.m. Carolyn worked as a trainer for Booneville Human Development Center along with serving as a CNA, and when she wasn?t working at one of her jobs, she helped her husband do carpentry work. It goes without saying that Carolyn was a very hard worker. She loved cooking, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Carolyn was truly an outdoors person. She enjoyed anything that took her outside this included fishing and camping. Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Billy Helton of the home, one daughter, Donna Owens of Lickskillet, Arkansas and two sons: Brian Helton and Billy Mack Helton both of Waldron, Arkansas. Mema will forever be missed by her four grandchildren: Clayton Owens, Caroline Owens, Justin Helton and Mack Helton and one great grandchild, Natalie Owens. Carolyn is also survived by one sister Ann Vandiver of Waldron, Arkansas and one brother Allen Denton of Bakersfield, Missouri. Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her and the many whose lives she touched, including a number of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Denton and Goldie (McCracken) Denton. Carolyn?s graveside life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. David Hines officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Carolyn?s visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
