Carl Sachs

April 22, 1932 — September 23, 2009

Carl Sachs 77, of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital.

Carl was on Legal Services Board in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and ARPG in Little Rock, Arkansas . He was retired through ARVAC for 18 years. He was also employed through Children?s Medical Services. He started mentor programs, got grants for the Boles Community Center, started fire departments in several areas of Scott County. He also served as Chairmen of Justice and Peace Commission at St. Jude Catholic Church in Waldron and so much more.

Carl is survived by his wife Patricia of 44 years of the home; four children, Bob and wife Jennifer of Sebring, Florida, David and wife Brandi of Mena, Arkansas, Leann King and husband Richard of Waldron, Arkansas, Joey and wife Typhne of Ward, Arkansas. Six grandchildren Katie and Austin of Waldron, Arkansas, Ridge and Brickie of Mena, Arkansas, Katelyn and Chase of Ward, Arkansas.

Carl is also survived by one half-brother Val Cumpek and wife Carol of Berwynn, IL.; half-sisters, Ruth and Helen of Arizona, Pat and husband John Heinen of Y-City, Arkansas.

Carl was loved by his family, close friends, nieces, nephews and by the many people he as helped through out the years. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be missed greatly.

Carl?s funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009 at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Waldron, Arkansas with Father Neil Pezzulo officiating, with cremation to follow. Arrangement are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

His pallbearers will be Tom Oswald, Herbie Hefner, Chris Heinen, Fred Copeland, Lou Vitale, and Bob Akinson.

His honorary pallbearers will be John Heinen, Austin Bartlett, Ridge Sachs and Chase Spencer.

Carl?s visitation will be 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.

Carl?s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Waldron, Arkansas where the Rosary will be recited Thursday evening.
