Carl Hugh Rice

Carl Hugh Rice of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, November 16, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas. Carl was born November 12, 1938 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Bird Tolison Rice and Marjorie Nell (Perkins) Rice. Carl was 80 years and 4 days old.

Carl grew up in Waldron, Arkansas and graduated from Waldron HIgh School. He enjoyed photography and tinkering on cars.

Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory, his nephew and nieces, Richard Lee Rice of Dewey Oklahoma, Cynthia Sue Shaffer of Woodstock, Virginia and Carol Ann Blackhurst of Orlando, Florida as well as a friend and caregiver, Stephanie Holland. Carl will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted throughout the years.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Bird and Marjorie Rice and two brothers: John Douglas Rice and Harold Bird Rice.

Carl's life celebration will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Diane Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Carl's pallbearers will be Danny Hitchcock, Stoney Wright, Larry Rose, Blake Wright and Lyndy Holland.

Carl's visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
