Brenda McFarland

Brenda Katherine McFarland of Mena, Arkansas, (formerly of Waldron, Arkansas) passed from this life, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Brenda was born January 27, 1949 to Henry Lynn Nelson and Dorothy Mae (Scarborough) Nelson in Waldron, Arkansas. Brenda was 64 years, 2 months and 6 days old. Brenda was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a beauty operator for many years. Brenda was a people person and loved her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Charley W. McFarland of the home, two daughters: Kimberly Lynn Remington of St. Louis, Missouri and Tiffany Eden Childers of Waldron, Arkansas, and two sons: Allen Guy Waddle of St. Louis, Missouri and Jeremy Quinton McFarland of Little Rock, Arkansas. Grandma will be missed by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brenda is also survived by one sister, Glenda Caldwell and one brother, Jimmy Lynn Nelson all of Waldron, Arkansas. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dorothy Nelson. Brenda's life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Pilot Prairie Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Robert Caldwell officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
