Boyd Owens

Boyd Allen Owens of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas, passed from this life, November 5, 2012 in Los Angeles. Boyd was born October 4, 1924 to John Owens and Myrtle Millard Owens. Boyd was 88 years, 1 month and 1 day old. Boyd was of the Baptist faith. Boyd was a maintenance man for an oil company for over 30 years. His passion was building stuff and working with his hands. He also enjoyed tinkering in the junk and going to swap meets. When time would afford him the opportunity, Boyd loved to go fishing. Boyd also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Boyd leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sons: Ritchie ?Pepper? Mitchell and wife Janice of Waldron, Arkansas, Gene Owens of California and Charlie Owens of Oregon. Boyd is also survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one brother Jack Owens and wife Cora of Waldron, Arkansas. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Owens, two brothers, and two sisters. Boyd?s graveside memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Union Hill Cemetery in Union Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
