Betty Jo Payne of Boles, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born November 9, 1933 to Herbert A. Sims and Dovie (Watson) Sims in Boles, Arkansas. Betty was 79 years and 18 days old. She was a member of Boles Freewill Baptist Church in Boles, Arkansas. In March of 1950 Betty married her high school sweetheart, Clyde Payne Sr. Betty worked for Coats & Clark in California until 1968 when they moved back home to Arkansas. She enjoyed making others happy even at her own expense. For many years Betty owned and operated Betty?s Costume and Formal Wear. Because of her love of fashion and style and dressing so many people in the proper attire, Betty has attended the Prom at Waldron High School for the last 30 years. She had to make sure all of the boys and girls looked their best. Betty looked forward to each Thursday because that was designated ?Sister?s Day?. The family never knew what the ?Sister?s? were going to get into next. Possibly it was just a night for dinner or shopping or a trip somewhere. No matter where they went or what they did it was sure to be a fun filled event. Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Cindy Boyd and husband Bill of Greenwood, Arkansas, two sons, Clinton ?Kenny? Payne of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Clyde L. Payne Jr. of Boles, Arkansas. Granny Betty will forever be missed by six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
