Barbara Doak

Barbara Jean Doak, 74, of Waldron, Arkansas was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, February 27, 2011 at her home. Barbara was born March 15, 1936 in Rochester, New York to the late Arthur and Loretta Adell (Rotnour) Stevens. Barbara grew up in Newark where her six children were born, Debbie, Don, Izzy, Vern, Lorey and Junior. In 1976 Barbara moved to Dumas, Texas where she met her husband Eddie Doak. Barbara and Eddie took their lives journey together to Waldron, Arkansas, always wanting to be by the others side until death they do part. Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward Doak of the home; three daughters, Debra and husband David Gray of Poteau, Oklahoma, Elizabeth and husband Doug Knight of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, Loretta Murray and Richard Davis of Waldron, Arkansas; three sons, Donald and wife Cheryl Murray of Borger, Texas, Vernon Murray of Dumas, Texas, Clinton and wife, Tanya Murray of Dumas, Texas; one step-daughter, Melissa Bedker of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Barbara is also survived by two brothers, Roger Bush and William Bush of New York State; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. We will always have our mom and grandma in our hearts. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord?s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their childrens children, Psalm 10 3:17 NIV. Barbara?s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Bennett, officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangement are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Barbara?s pallbearers will be Don Murray, Vern Murray, Clint Murray, Doug Knight, David Gray and Reymundo Ortiz, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Danford, Davey Gray, John Gray, Erik Gabel, and Richard Davis. Barbara?s visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
