Anna Lou Murray of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family, Monday morning, October 24, 2011 in a Waldron, Arkansas hospital. Anna Lou was born November 26, 1931 in Watts, Oklahoma to the late A.K. McCoy and Mary Ethel (Taylor) McCoy. She was 79 years, 10 months and 28 days old. In 1949 Anna Lou graduated from Watts High School in Watts, Oklahoma with a total of nine classmates. December 21, 1950 Anna Lou married her high school classmate and sweetheart Bill Murray. Together they started their life in Mena Arkansas. In Mena she was a member of the 3 Musketeers which included Anna Lou, Joy Simpson, and Lois Quillin. They would enjoy taking their children swimming everyday in the summer months. They moved to Waldron in 1966. She was a fan of Country & Western music which lead to her hobby of dancing. The Waltz being her favorite. She Waltzed probably a thousand miles with Bill. Anna?s favorite song was ?The Storm Never Last?. Anna retired from Tyson Foods after 30 years as Hatchery secretary. She was a proud card carrying member of the ?Cherokee Nation?. Anna was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Senior Citizens Center in Waldron. She was also a member of the Evening Shade Baptist Church and was a life long Christian. Most of all she lived her life to care for and love Bill and Johnny. Those left to cherish the memory of Anna Lou are her husband of 60 years, Bill of the home, one son, Johnny and wife Sandy of Waldron, one sister Sharon Bales of Oloogha, Oklahoma. She also leaves to cherish her memory one niece, Maryann Stanley and husband Rick of Oloogha, Oklahoma, one step grandson Matt Taff of Waldron, one step-granddaughter, Casie Akins and husband Tyson of Waldron, and one great granddaughter, Daisy Akins of Waldron as well as many other family members and friends. Anna Lou?s life celebration service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Charles Whedbee officiating. Interment will follow in the Square Rock Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas Anna Lou?s pallbearers will be Bill Hunt, Dale Kopf, Roger Sparks, Glen Dale Sparks, Fritz Moralis, and Bob Shores. Her honorary pallbearers will be James Richmond, Herman Holleman, and Jay Kenner. Anna Lou?s visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
