Mary Elizabeth Wilson of Waldron, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, April 8, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born May 4, 1943 in Texarkana, Texas to Byron R. Givens and Modena M. (Richardson) Givens. Mary was 72 years, 11 months and 4 days old. Mary was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Mary was a devout Christian. Truly inspiring others in her daily life and her walk with God.
Mary was a homemaker and teacher. She lived to make life better. She was a wonderful mother, mentor, partner and friend to all. She was a warm and caring person always putting others needs before her own.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 38 years, George of the home, two sons: Randy Nichols of Dallas, Texas and Stephen Wilson of Greenwood, Arkansas. Grandma will forever remain in the hearts of her four grandchildren: Haden Wilson, Niki Marie Wilson, Coner Nichols and Raven Nichols. Mary is also survived by two sisters: Gloria Parker of Paris, Texas and Patricia Ann Kirkley of Dallas, Texas. Mary will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted, including an extended family of friends, neighbors and loved ones she treasured.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Modena Givens and two sisters.
Interment will be in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
