Larry Odell Boyce of Y-City, Arkansas passed from this life, Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Y-City, Arkansas. Larry was born February 16, 1954 in San Bernadino, California to Walter Boyce and Hazel (Woods) Boyce. He was 64 years old.
Larry proudly served a time in the United States Army. He was an Army Ranger. Larry was a life long servant in law enforcement. Having served on different forces across the region, Larry retired as Chief of Police from the Greenwood Police Department. His passion was firearms and he was quite the gun enthusiast.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, one son, Christopher Boyce of Casper, Wyoming, one brother, Rick Boyce and wife (Mechelle) of Van Buren, Arkansas, one sister, Paulette Boyce of Waldron, Arkansas, nieces and nephews: Julie Mills and husband Robert of Parks, Arkansas, Mark Standridge and wife Stacy of Acorn, Arkansas, Lisa Williams of Alma, Arkansas, Jimmy Boyce of Lavaca, Arkansas, Linda Reed of Mountain Burg, Arkansas and Cody Boyce of Indiana. Larry will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of great nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Hazel Boyce and one brother, Joe Boyce.
Larry's graveside life celebration will be 12:00 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Interment will follow. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
